Ada Maris

Ada Maris not only delights audiences with her funny songs and sketches, but also touches hearts with her real-life stories. Ada is a well-known TV actress, a comic-entertainer, singer and more.

Ada has been featured on many of the most popular television shows of our time, including The Cosby Show, Home Improvement, Nash Bridges, The District and many more. She was a big hit at The Latino Laugh Festival and has shared the stage with Broadway stars like Nathan Lane.  Ada performs in the popular Nickelodeon show, The Brothers Garcia and plays a recurring role as Captain Erika Hernandez on Star Trek: Enterprise. You’ll also remember Ada from the hit NBC show, Nurses, where she starred as the wise-cracking Gina.

In her testimony, Ada tells of her spiritually confused childhood (“I’m Mexican. Jesus is on our dashboard. I know I’m not Jewish. I must be a Christian…”) A “Jesus-freak” in high school coaxed her to church, where she found something “marvelous and overwhelming” in Jesus Christ. After secretly begging Christ to save her, she promptly did everything she could to avoid Him, until His grace and mercy finally caught up with her and won out. Now, as she says, her greatest desire is to fill the world with the love God has given her.
