I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at the age of five, and I think the worst thing I had done up to that point was to intentionally slam my girlfriend’s hand in my toy refrigerator door. I really hadn’t lived a life of sin from which I needed to be rescued. But being raised in a Christian home by a Godly mother, is, I know, the best thing that has happened to me.
I am so very grateful that I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I did. I believe that He has guided my life every step of the way and has blessed my in more ways than I could ever imagine, with incredible children and wonderful friends. The security I find in Him is unmatched. He is my Rock, my Provider and my all in all!

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior at an evangelistic tent meeting held by Child Evangelism when I was five years old. When I was 12, I was with my parents in a tiny country called British Honduras (now Belize), where they were Baptist missionaries, when we were caught in the middle of a huge hurricane. It was so frightening and there was so much lightning and rain, that I honestly thought the Lord was coming back!
I slid down on my knees and rededicated my life to Him, not being positive that I had known what I was doing when I was five! I began teaching Bible classes and school chapels, but it wasn’t until I was 27 and my husband was ready to walk out on me taking our brand new son, that I realized Jesus was my Lord, my all-sufficiency, and that the joy of knowing He will never leave me became my greatest strength.
He is the Great Physician. He healed my marriage (we will celebrate 35 years in August!), my husband is my greatest friend and Christian counsel - we have three terrific grown children (two by adoption and one little bonus from scratch!) who are all living for the Lord. I have truly known and experienced God’s incredible grace. I believe with all my heart that the JOY of the Lord is our greatest strength!
