Michael Joiner

Michael Joiner, a 15-year national and international touring headlining comedian, has a clean style of clever sarcasm, quick wit and uncanny improv and audience interaction skills has them rolling in the aisles every time! Comedy clubs, churches, colleges and corporate events have all hailed Michael as “one of the funniest stand-up comedians working today!”

In May 2008, Michael won first place at the Hollywood Improv’s “Funniest Comic in L.A.” contest. In 2006, Michael was chosen as one of only four national touring comedians to star in The Clean Stand-Up Comedy Tour DVD. He also performed his one-hour comedy show in the television series Bananas and was one of “one of a handful” of comedians chosen to perform at the HA! Comedy Club in New York City for the debut of the Gospel Music Channel’s first stand-up comedy pilot.

In his testimony, Michael boldly describes his destructive former lifestyle that led him to homelessness and unemployment. “The L.A. welfare department put him up in a loud, dingy, drug-infested hotel, and when I asked one of the homeless people where we were, he pointed to a cross-street and said “You’re on Skid Row.” I knew then I had hit rock bottom…”

Michael then met a young Christian man in need of a roommate who said if he was serious about getting out of his situation, he needed to “seek the Lord with all your heart.” Michael did, and now his desire is “to see this nation get back to its biblical and Christian roots.” He believes one of the greatest strongholds of the enemy is in the Hollywood movie and TV industry, so he works daily within that stronghold to win the city and the nation back to “a nation who’s God is the Lord.”
