Alex McFarland speaks everywhere from churches and university campuses to schools and prisons. As a writer and advocate for Christian apologetics, Alex was named the third President of Southern Evangelical Seminary and the Veritas Graduate School of Apologetics in 2006, considered by many as the nation’s premiere apologetics university. Alex arms his audiences with the tools to defend their faith while empowering the unchurched to find out the truth for themselves.
Alex was awarded an honorary doctorate of Divinity from Southern Evangelical Seminary. During his seminary and graduate school training, Alex served two churches as a youth pastor and staff minister. He has spoken in over 900 churches and in over 100 schools and colleges throughout the U.S. and internationally. He has been interviewed by Billy Graham’s Decision radio broadcast, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Chuck Colson’s Breakpoint broadcast, CBS, FOX, NBC, The Associated Press, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Herald, the BBC, Prime Time America, Bible Broadcast Network, La Vie (France), Christianity Today, Charisma, On Mission, and by many other media outlets as well.

In College: Preparing for the Ways College will Challenge your Faith is based on nearly two decades of training teens in apologetics and knowledge of the biblical worldview. His “Truth for a New Generation” conferences assemble the world’s premiere apologists (such as Josh McDowell, Ravi Zacharias, Lee Strobel, Norman Geisler and others) to introduce new audiences to the truths of Christianity.
Since 2000, Alex has hosted Truth Talk Live, a nationally syndicated radio program heard in numerous parts of the nation. From 2004 to 2006, Alex served Focus on the Family as Director of Teen Apologetics. Alex continues to collaborate with Focus on the Family in reaching students for Christ.
