Barbara Metzler

Barbara Metzler champions the cause of “passionaries,” a term she coined to mean “passionate visionaries” within non-profit organizations. She collects and shares the stories of non-profit entrepreneurs to encourage and inspire others to passionate, spirit-powered service. She was named the 2007 Woman of the Year by San Diego Assemblyman Martin Garrick and the California Legislative Women’s Caucus. She has started five companies, including the Passionaries Institute, and is active in many non-profit organizations, such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Opportunity International and Alpha USA.
