Sonia Chase began playing basketball at age seven in an all boys’ league. A record-setter on high school and college teams, Sonia was drafted to the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting in 1998, playing abroad in Greece, Turkey and China during the off-season. In 2001, she started Chase Your Dream, an organization aimed at inspiring student-athletes to build character and accomplish their dreams in sports and in life. In 2005, Sonia joined the NWBL’s Birmingham Power, where she led the league in steals and became an All-Star. Sonia has a passion for young people with a “been-there” attitude that shines through her accomplished sports career.
