Creative Services Positions:

DIRECT MARKETING DESIGNER

The Creative Services team seeks a graphic designer. Reporting to the Creative Director, this position has unlimited potential for a designer who has proven experience in direct marketing and print product design. You'll be an integral part of our in-house creative and marketing teams. You will be responsible for designing Printed invitation cards (see outreach.com for examples), advertising, and direct mail campaigns. Your design will make a difference in churches, communities and lives. The willingness to take responsibility and ownership while part of a large team, as well as clear verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must have excellent technical skills using Adobe design suite (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) 3-5 years experience and education in direct marketing design – with specific focus on print production, direct mail and campaign design. Web design skills and Flash design a plus. Book design a plus.Agency experience an advantage.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

The Custom Services Graphics teams is seeking a graphic designer. Reporting to the Art Director, this position has unlimited potential for a designer who has proven experience in direct marketing and print product design. You will be responsible for modifying existing product as well as create new designs for our valued customers, including postcards, bulletins, banners and more!. Your designs will make a difference in churches, communities and lives. You are reliable and dependable, have the ability to work quickly and meet tight deadlines, as well as an ability to work closely with our Sales Team and customers. Must have excellent technical skills using Adobe design suite (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) 3+ years work experience in direct marketing design – with specific focus on print production, direct mail and campaign design. Knowledge of PrePress and Print Production. Portfolio displaying print pieces that illustrate creativity and skills in both Photoshop and Illustrator. You will share the goal to please our customers, striving to surpass their expectations - so excellent customer service skills are essential.

Magazine/Publishing Positions:

EDITORIAL ASSISTANT (PART TIME)

Outreach magazine is seeking a part time Editorial Assistant to help contribute to the excellence of each bi-monthly publication. The Editorial Assistant will work closely with entire editorial and design team, providing copy editing, proofreading as well as supporting the Managing Editor with scheduling and copy flow. Additional administrative support will be required as necessary.

A successful candidate must have 2+ years experience in copy editing and proofreading for print and/or online publishing. The position requires a working knowledge of graphic design, print production, the Web and the magazine industry, or strong evidence of aptitude. Experience interfacing with Pastors or Christian church leadership very helpful.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with FileMaker and Web content management systems a plus. Excellent copy editing/proofreading skills are an essential requirement. Must be detail-oriented and passionate about timeliness. Thorough understanding of Outreach’s mission, philosophy, values and objectives, in keeping with the corporate Statement of Belief.

Prefer Bachelors or Masters degree in Journalism or related business field, or comparable work experience. Theological education an additional advantage.
