Julie Hiramine is a mom, author and the founder and executive director of the ministry Generations of Virtue. As an internationally noted speaker, she has ministered in many nations to thousands of parents, teens and young people. Julie believes the key to turning the tide of an immoral culture is to equip parents to empower their children to be pure.
Julie earned dual bachelor’s degrees in non-profit business management and sociology from Pepperdine University. After college, Julie gained practical experience in youth ministry through the YMCA and pastoral ministry by planting a church with her husband, Kay. She and Kay also spent a significant amount of time ministering internationally during the first several years of their marriage. These experiences fashioned in Julie a heart for the nations and a desire to assist parents as they combat the influences of an immoral culture threatening their children.
One of Julie’s main inspirations is her own children. In fact, the ministry of Generations of Virtue came about largely through Julie’s prayers for a strategy she could use with her own family. Julie and Kay have 5 children, whom they have homeschooled and taken along on ministry trips around the U.S. and overseas. When not ministering, one of Kay and Julie’s favorite activities is cooking gourmet meals (much to the delight of the GOV team). The Hiramine family lives in Colorado and Singapore when they are not on the road.

“Julie Hiramine and her team at Generations of Virtue have been helping moms and dads instill character in their children for years now. Guardians of Purity combines common sense and biblical wisdom to help parents guide their kids through the choppy waters of our sex-saturated culture.” – Jim Daly, President – Focus on the Family
“Bravo Julie! This book is a much-needed tool that concerned and diligent parents everywhere will greatly appreciate! For nearly two decades I have spoken to young people about purity. In that time I have met countless parents who are craving the wisdom and encouragement that this book provides about that very subject. Blessings to you in your ministry Julie - keep up the great work!“ – Rebecca St. James – singer, author, actress
“Julie Hiramine is one of my favorite voices in the Purity Revolution that’s rising up around the world, and her commitment to that cause is straight and true.  I’ve ministered to many people at her side, from the mountains of Vail to the islands of Indonesia, and I know her husband Kay and her wonderful five children. She walks the talk, and takes on that parental role as the guardian of purity in her home seriously. On that basis alone, she’s earned the right to be heard, so listen up, and listen well. The enemy wants your kids, but you can keep them safe.” – Fred Stoeker, Author of Every Man’s Battle, Preparing Your Son for Every Man’s Battle, and Hero
“Julie Hiramine's Pure Generation carries her life’s work and passion, that is to help the next generation make the wise choices that will best set them up for a lifetime of healthy, happy relationships. Your student’s heart is in loving wise hands with Julie’s wisdom.” – Pam Farrel –international speaker and author of over 30 books including best selling Men Are Like Waffles, Women Are Like Spaghetti; 10 Best Decisions a Parent Can Make; Got Teens? and Raising a Modern Day Princess
