Can Outreach print postcards for Every Door Direct (EDDM) from the Post Office?
Outreach offers EDDM service for the 11" x 5.5" XLarge size postcards only. Click here to see the design selection, then select EDDM in the Addressing Choices on the detail page.

What type of paper are the postcards printed on?
When you choose the "Customize Online" or "Customize for Me" options with mailing services your postcards are printed on 100 lb Gloss Cover that is coated on both sides. If you are printing postcards with printing only on one side, your postcards will be printed on 10 pt paper that is only coated on one side. This allows you to print on the blank side using a laser printer or copier and the ink will not smear.

Can we supply our own mailing list?
Yes, you can. You can also choose to have your mailing list paired with another list provided by Outreach - choose "Customer + merge" from the Addressing Choice dropdown

What is the turn-around time for Postcard Invitations?
“As Seen” stock postcards are sold in packs of 250 with blank reverse sides and are available to ship to you in 1 business day when you place your order by 11:59 pm. To have your postcards customized, please choose the "Customize Online" or "Customize for Me" option and then select your quantity and if you want mailing options or not.
Postcards that are customized online as hand outs are available to ship to you in 4 business days. If you add mailing services, your postcards will be ready to ship to you or the post office in 9 business days.
If you choose the “Customize for Me” option for your postcards, your postcard hand outs will be ready to ship in 7 business days. "Customize for Me" postcards with mailing services are ready to ship to you or the post office in 12 business days.

How many postcards should I send?
The answer really depends on your desired results (and budget). Generally speaking, .5% is the typical return on mailed postcards. So if you sent out 10,000 postcards, you could expect to see 50 visitors over a period of a few weeks. Many things can impact these numbers of course - like your design, messaging, season, timing, and so on. Our Outreach Specialists can help you put the details together to get the best results! When should my postcard arrive in homes?
The goal is always to be close enough to the event to be remembered, but also far enough away to give recipients time to plan. Typically for a church launch or new message/series invitation you should aim to reach homes 5-9 days out. Bigger events, such as Christmas, Easter, and VBS, can have more time. What size Postcards does Outreach offer?
Outreach now offers two sizes of postcards: 8.5” x 5.5” and 11” x 5.5”. Both can be customized online. The 8.5" x 5.5" size is also available “As Seen” in select designs.

Can we target specific demographics for our mailing?
Absolutely! Your dedicated Outreach Specialist can help you target your postcard to hit certain households that you choose - based on things like median age, ethnicity, homes with children, marital status and many other demographics. How can I get a non-profit postage rate?
Your church needs to be listed in the Postal Service's Non-Profit National Database. Not sure if you’re church is in the database? Call one of our Outreach Specialists at 800 911-6011 and they can assist you in checking the database to see if you qualify. Outreach can help you apply for FREE if your church is not currently listed.

Do I need my own mailing permit?
No, you do not need your own mailing permit. When you use Outreach's Full Mailing Services, we will mail your PostCards using our Bulk Mail Permit.
